Welcome To Additive Restoration
At Additive Restoration we offer a unique set of services.
We can help with any restoration by replicating, designing and manufacturing parts to exacting specifications. We offer state of the art additive (3D Printing) and subtractive (CNC Machining) manufacturing, creating custom components that are tailored to your specific needs.

Special Projects
We've helped owners, restorers, specialist garages, and vintage race shops by providing parts they can’t find anywhere else. Here's a list of some of our previous projects:
- Distributor caps and rotor arms for OSCA MT4 sports cars, rotors for Pagaso magnetos. All from our own special composite material. It has the heft and feel of Bakelite, but with a higher dielectric strength to resist cross firing and failure.
- Wheel hubs for Alfa Romeos, Elvas, and many formula junior race cars.
- Patterns for sand cast non ferrous metals, such as aluminium water manifolds, special brackets etc.
- High compression cylinder heads for Willys race specials, machined from billet 6061 Aluminium
- Custom poly suspension bushes, we can match any geometry and shore hardness for dialed in handling.
You can read case studies for some of the projects here:
Special Projects are unique parts for unique cars. From Alfa Romeo to Zagato we've created headlmap covers, wheel hubs, trim parts, ignition components - the list is endless! If you find yourself stuck drop us a line to start a conversation.

Restoration Support
Not only do we produce parts to keep historically significant cars on the road with new parts, we also help document and preserve details. Offering many services that support their preservation and restoration including:
- Full body 3D scans with texture (recording graphics, unique colours etc). These can be used before a 'body off' restoration to ensure details are accurately documented in their original form. Or as a record for, say, an actively raced historic race car.
- 3D scans to body buck design and fabrication. Working closely with your body shop we can tailor a body buck that helps faithfully maintain the original design intent of the car.
- Specialist tool design, such as a piston ring compressor for the Mercedes 300SL 'Gull Wing'. Or custom window etching systems for 1960's Ferraris, or even hot press dies to embed original graphics into heater hoses! Any problem your restoration throws at you we can help.
- Drop us a line if you think we can help your restoration project.

About Us
Additive Restoration was started by Steven Dibdin after many years in the product development world. He is able to use his extensive experience in design, engineering and prototyping to develop and manufacture parts for rare and unusual cars.
We know that finding certain parts can be an impossible task!
We understand this dilemma as we own a rare and unusual British sedan here in the US – parts are hard to find, so Steven started making his own. Before long he started modifying and improving the car for hillclimbs and track days, at present it is the only car of its type used in competition in the US.
Steven has over 30 years experience with design engineering, industrial model making and prototyping – he also describes himself as having “an old car problem”.
In 2016 he merged his professional career with his passion – Additive Restoration was born and we aim to keep old cars on the road. When you reach out to us about a part, we will research and confirm it is no longer available before creating a custom design to original, or better specifications.
We offer 3D scanning to begin the reverse-engineering process, make improvements where we can. Simulate and testing them before manufacture. Using 3D printing, CNC machining, compression casting and many other processes we create parts that are indistinguishable from the originals.
Our parts have helped many cars get to Amelia Island and Pebble Beach concourses. Not only that, but a large number of race cars running with the VSCCA make use of our parts and expertise.
Browse our store today or contact us about parts you would like to see made. We’re here to help you get your classic car back to being functional, perfectly trimmed and your source of pride.
